W2 Capitalist | EARN. INVEST. REPEAT.

Jan 14, 2021

Rich Groves has been in the corporate training field since 1999. He absolutely loves helping people develop the skills to maximize their professional success. Rich trains individuals on technical skills, as well as "soft" skills to reach their goals and realize their full potential.

In 2005, his corporate career saw a major curveball. As a result of a merger, his job transitioned to a new metro area. Instead of uprooting his family, he and his wife decided to stay planted in the greater St. Louis area with their extended family nearby. As a result, Rich found himself without a job and turned to real estate investing. Completing his first "rehab and flip" in late 2005, Rich felt the rush of what real estate investing could do for people, families, communities and in 2012, Rich and his wife started looking into formal real estate investing education and started their own real estate investing company, Metro STL Homes, LLC in early 2013.

It took Rich 8 months to breakthrough his analysis paralysis to complete his first real estate investment transaction, but he hasn't looked back since.

Rich made a move back to the W2 with a rewarding, full-time job as a Firm Trainer at a major law firm, and he and his wife have raised two boys, the younger of which will be going off to college in the fall.

Rich has performed on over 50 real estate transactions from assignments to rehabs to building a rental portfolio. He currently owns 7 rental properties and has a goal for 2021 to bring that total to 15.
